The Naked Artist

Here is Hadley enjoying her birthday gift from Nana & Grammie. Then, the doorbell rings and another birthday gift arrives from our cousins Lee, Melissa, Luke, & Jacob. Hadley gets so excited & immediately asks me to open it.
Look at that artwork.
Who's to judge how she gets her inspiration?!?!
I know! She will totally hate me for this one day!

Pixie Dust

Hadley & I went to LA with Darrell on business last week. While we were there, we decided to use our Disney World tickets to enjoy Disneyland. I took Hadley to the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique. Oh my WHAT FUN WE HAD!!! I think I enjoyed it more than she did if that is possible. We decided on Tinkerbell since we already had a set of wings & Tink shoes that I found at the Disney outlet marked down to $10 & $4.
Here she is with her Fairy God Mother, Gretchen.

Hadley, uh, I mean Tinkerbell looked like such a big girl when she was able to choose her own eyeshadow & lip gloss. Now, I don't normally condone make-up on a 2 year old, but you could barely see it. It was a special occasion also. Her color choices could use a little help too. She chose purple eyeshadow & pink lip gloss.

This beautiful floral wreath stayed on her head all of 2 seconds. The crown, though was still there the next day! Wish I would have known that because the crown was included in the price of the boutique. I purchased the wreath because I thought she'd like that better. Oh well!

Here is the sprinkling of the fairy dust. This part was very magical. Notice Tink holding the shield so she doesn't get any in her eyes. SO SWEET!!!

Here is our princess all dressed up as Tinkerbell. What a wonderful experience.

Disneyland 2010

Darrell had to go to California on business before heading out to El Salvador so Hadley & I tagged along. We had days left on our Disney World tickets so we decided to visit Disneyland. Although, I LOVE our trips to Disney World with all of the family, this recent trip was VERY special. Yes, I know they are basically the same park. It was great to be able to enjoy the park with just Hadley. To be able to see her eyes light up when she saw one of the characters was priceless. I let her decide where she wanted to go & who she wanted to see & we had a BLAST!

The first thing we did was eat breakfast with Minnie & friends. Hadley was SO excited!

After we visited the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique, we went to see Tinkerbell.

Hadley loved seeing all of the characters & the lines were no where near those in Disney World. Who knows, maybe we just caught a slow day.

It was so much fun spending time with my baby girl. I look forward to the many momma/daughter days to come.

Throw Me Sumthin Mista!

Check out the most handsome reveler in action. We went to the Bacchus parade last night to see Darrell. He doesn’t normally ride in Bacchus & hasn’t actually ridden with anyone since Hadley was born. He had a blast, but was so tired today when he went to work. In the 1st picture, he’s the one on the end swinging the glow sticks.

In this picture, he is the hottie looking down.

Black & Gold Super Bowl

Saturday morning, we went to pick Nana up in Gulfport. Before we left I had walked outside with Hadley & then realized our coats were still inside so I ran in the house to get them. Two seconds people!!! That’s how long I was inside. When I went back out I couldn’t find her. You can imagine my heart dropped right into my feet as I called her name. I hear this sweet little voice say, Mommy, I up here."
who dat swing

Do ya see her? Oh yes, my little monkey had raced off the porch & climbed up the ladder to her play house as quickly as you can say, well I don’t know what, but it was F.A.S.T. Of course, I let her play for a few minutes because it’s been SO gross & rainy here she hasn’t really gotten to play on her swing set since she got it.
